AI-based photoacoustic histologic imaging device
We present a new approach to digital pathology through a histology device that eliminates the need for traditional staining by leveraging AI and photoacoustic technology.
Conventional histological examinations are often time-consuming, requiring tissue extraction and subsequent staining for analysis. Our device significantly reduces this process by utilizing AI-based virtual staining, enabling rapid tissue compatibility assessments without interrupting the workflow. Additionally, the preserved tissue samples remain available for further testing.
This advanced method also allows for the acquisition of detailed cytoplasmic images that are challenging to obtain using traditional staining techniques. Furthermore, with the integration of next-generation photoacoustic imaging technology, it is possible to visualize cell nuclei without the need for any staining.
